2023 Cross River Governorship Election: Senator Sandy Onor Finally Breaks Silence
The Caterpillar Movement’s attention was drawn to a publication alleged to have emanated from paradise news and released by the official of Opera News to the effect that Distinguished Sen Prof Sandy Onor declared running for the Cross River State Guber Race in 2023. The argument is mischievous, unfounded, deceptive and misleading without any fear of inconsistency.
As someone who attended the inaugural meeting of Chief Wilfred Oden Inah of the Central Planning Committee for the Burial of the Elder Statesman, I want to state categorically that there was no declaration to run for any office at that place.
“Icon Extraordinary who lived a succinctly simple, sincere and steadfast life.”extraordinary icon who lived a life that was succinctly simple, sincere and steadfast.
“this is the inuagural meeting of the Central Planning Committee (CPC) for the burial of Late Chief *Wilfred Oden Inah* held today in Calabar on Friday, January 15, 2021. In my capacity as Chairman of the CPC, I charge members of the committee and sub-commitees to put in their best to give the late icon a befitting burial.”
“We all know why we are here; our father, brother, uncle, an extraordinary icon deserves a befitting burial. Chief was blessed with biological children. He also adopted a lot of us as sons and he spoke about a lot of them to me each time we had the opportunity to discuss and I can see us here.”
“We must do everything possible to give chief the kind of befitting burial he deserves. I would charge all of us, to throw in all that we can to make that possible. Chief deserves no less and am sure by the grace of God we would find favour, we would find the resources to do exactly that.”
Representatives of the family, the Ugep group, St Patrick’s Parish Calabar, the Catholic men’s organization of the same church, the Knights of St Mulumba Nigeria, the Association of permanent retired secretaries, cross-river state government representatives, friends and close associates were present.
The conference lasted for 1 hour, after which the Distinguished Senator visited the widow of Late Chief Inah in their Federal Housing home, where he signed the register of condolences.
Chief Inah was a former secretary of the Cross River State Civil Service Commission, Head of Service of the Cross River State, Federal Character Commission Commissioner and gubernatorial aspirant of the late National Republican Convention (NRC). He is survived by a mom, kids and grandkids. In more than one way,
The death of such a figure should not be politicized by political workers in any circumstances.
