This was the case when Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa met with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar recently in a Mosque.
Rumours of the APC senator preparing to dump his party for the PDP started trending after Marafa met the former vice president.
FCT, Abuja – Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Zamfara Central Senatorial District in the 2023 general elections on Friday, July 29 met with the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Weetalknaija.com.ng gathered that the duo met at Asokoro Mosque shortly after Juma’at prayers.
Beaming with smiles, the politicians exchanged pleasantries and shook hands as a crowd looked in admiration.
After the photos of the duo went viral, some persons had alleged that both men had a secret meeting but the camp of the senator rebutted the rumours.
Marafa represented Zamfara Central at the National Assembly between 2015 and 2019 but he could not return to the Senate as a result of the crisis which rocked Zamfara APC.
The Zamfara state chapter of the APC has since closed ranks as the major factions in the party are now working as one.

Weetalknaija.com.ng had reported that following the reconciliation of the warring camps in the Zamfara chapter of the APC, a former governor of the state, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari, has o rdered the immediate withdrawal of four litigations instituted against the party in the state.
The national chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, had on May 8/9 reconciled the camp of Governor Bello Matawalle and that of his predecessor, Yari, and Senator Marafa.
The announcement of the withdrawal of the suits was made by Senator Marafa at the end of a consultative meeting of stakeholders held at Garba Nadama hall in Gusau, the Zamfara state capital on Wednesday 25.

Meanwhile, a prominent Nigerian and member of the APC and former deputy national publicity secretary of the party, Hon Yekini Nabena says there is no cause for alarm over Bola Tinubu’s decision to choose a Muslim running mate.
The Bayelsa-born politician noted that Nigerians would be more worried about the PDP’s presidential candidate who is another Muslim from the north to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
The APC chieftain said abandoning zoning arrangement by the PDP is more harmful to the unity of Nigeria when compared to single faith ticket.
