2023: Reps Aspirant, Emana Ambrose-Amawhe Meets Akpabuyo PDP Leaders
By Anthony Akpama, Calabar
A frontline aspirant for Akpabuyo/Bakassi/Calaber South Federal Constituency, Princess Emana Ambrose-Amawhe on Thursday met with the Leadership of the People Democratic Party, PDP in Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State to officially inform them of her interest.
Emana Ambrose-Amawhe who pleaded with the people on the need to support her in the forthcoming Party Primary election, slated for 12th May, 2022, urged them to embrace change.
The aspirant said, she has the capacity and passion to transform the fortunes of the people of Akpabuyo if elected.
She said:- “What brought me here today is to notify you that I have the intention of joining the race for the House Of Representative to represent Akpabuyo/Bakassi/Calabar South Federal Constituency”.
“Out of the seven members who represent us in the House Of Representative from Cross River State, we don’t have any woman. Women should be angry, If the women don’t stand with me, i should ask women are we this dull?
Continuing, she said: “This is a lie. During the international women’s Day, on CRBC I asked; who deceived us women that we cannot get the job? Where did that lie come from? There is no woman representative in the House Of Reps and across the world women get the job done”.
Furthermore, she said “that is why I did not request to meet only with the five man committee. I wanted to meet with everyone, because if you are not a delegate you are an influencer, you have someone who is a delegate”.
“My plea to you now is rally round and support me to get the party ticket to be in the house come 2023”.
Also speaking, the Director General of the campaign council, Francis Etang appreciated the stakeholders and party loyalists for making out time to honour the invitation in spite of their busy schedules.
Etang urged the people of Akpabuyo, Bakassi and Calabar South to support Mrs. Emana Duke-Amawhe to clinch the ticket, adding that change is inevitable.
