The House of Assembly Member-elect for Orumba North State Constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Emeka Aforka, JP (Chinemeze), has felicitated with Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi and Dr. Kate Anolue, the newly elected Mayors of Brent and Enfield respectively in the faraway United Kingdom.
In a separate congratulatory messages signed and made available to newsmen in his country home, Umudiabor village Ndiowu,in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Aforka announced that duo hailed from Orumba North, describing the feat as first of its kind in the history of the council area.
‘On behalf on my family and the good people of Orumba North Constituency, may I extend my sincere congratulations to Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi and Dr. Kate Anolue on their victory as the new Mayors of the London Borough of Brent and Enfied in United Kingdom respectively. Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi and Dr. Kate Anolue are both indigenes of Orumba North Local Government Area, Anambra State.
I feel so elated for this feat you have achieved, which is the first of its kind in the history of Orumba North of Ndi-Orumba North. I highly therefore, wish to state that, we value this noble position which you have attained,’ he said.
The two-time Chairman of Orumba North Local Government who reacted immediately the news of the Mayors’ election filtered in, in Umudialor Ndiowu expressed delight with the way and manner Ezeajughi and Anolue were elected, saying that duo’s emergence would further deepened the existing cordial relationship between Nigerians and their host communities in UK.
With utmost regards, I wish both of you the strength, courage and boldness in performing the important and responsible duties of this position as well as for the peace, stability and prosperity of the United Kingdom.
