The Nigeria Diaspora Ambassador for Peace to Finland, Ambassador Agim Godwin Apple has promised to support the governor of Cross River State, Senator Ben Ayade’s Agricultural Policies to attract more foreign Investors to the state.

This was made known to www.weetalknaija.com.ng in a just concluded meeting between the governor, Senator Ben Ayade and the Peace Ambassador to Finland, Ambassador Godwin Apple in Eastern Europe

Ambassador Godwin Apple, has promised the Governor that he will take the negotiations to any length that will improve modality to agricultural policy under the land use act of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Continuing, Apple said the governor’s profile on agricultural approach was necessary as it will help to revamp and strengthen the state Internal Generated Revenue (IGR.

“My support to the government of Cross River State in Agricultural Policies and programs to the governor Ben Ayade’s led administration, is that, I will ensure those who have swampy and good lands for rice farming get adequate support”.

“Also, I will take the negotiations to any length that will improve modality to agricultural policy under the land use act of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.

The Peace Envoy, also informed the governor on the multiple complaints he received from the bee farmers in the state over the destruction of their hives by the cattle headsmen.

“Recently two, three farmers from Obanlikwu and two from* Obudu were in the Forestry Commission in Obudu where we have the headquarter of Obudu BeeFarm Project to laid similar complaints.

Ambassador Godwin Apple, told the Governor Prof. Ben Ayade, that with the current economic statistics of Nigeria to export natural honey to the tune of $10b yearly, Cross River State will stand to gain 75% of the estimated quote if support will be put on bee farming as well as grains farming in the state.

The new agricultural approach by the state governor is so ecological and earthly friendly and hopefully, Cross River State will be entitled for agricultural subsidies from the Greenpeace Organization and the European Union in general. Ambassador Godwin Apple, promised.
