Another Powerful Northern Politician, Mai Zuma Dumps APC
Hon. Aliyu Safiyanu popularly known as Mai Zuma has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Aliyu disclosed this in a letter dated Monday June 20th, 2022, noting that the resignation was with immediate effect.
This is coming barely a month after losing the ticket of the governing party for the House of Representatives race of Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency to Ambassador Jeremiah Umaru (Jakadan Wamba).
The decision according to him was arrived at “after due consultations with stakeholders, political associates and my teeming supporters in my Constituency and Nasarawa State at large”.
“I thank the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for indulging me within the period of my membership thereof.
“Thank you,” the letter addressed to APC Chairman of his electoral ward, Wamba West, reads further.
