APC Convention: President Buhari Reportedly Approves Nigerian Senator With ₦15bn Fraud Case To Be APC National Chairman
President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly approved Abdullahi Adamu, senator representing Nasarawa west to be the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC In the new proposed zoning formula of the party.
Adamu was arraigned in 2010 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly embezzling N15 billion
According to a report by TheCable, the president approved of the zoning formula in a document he signed on March 1.
Faruk Aliyu Adamu, former member of the house of representatives, is proposed as deputy national chairman (north), while Ken Nnamani, former senate president, is named for the position of deputy national chairman (south). Click here to see President Buhari’s Choice for APC National chairman
Going by this formula, the proposed candidates for the national working committee (NWC) will not have opponents at the national elective convention of the party scheduled for March 26.
Adams Oshiomhole, former governor of Edo, was picked as APC national chairman in 2018 under similar circumstances. He was unchallenged.
