Appeal Court Ruling: ‘Some People Think By Socketing To The Centre, They Can Influence The Judiciary’ — Jarigbe Agom Mocks Ayade
…Hails President Buhari, his cabinet, and the judiciary for their neutrality.
The Cross River North Senator-elect, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has thanked the People of Cross River North Senatorial District for their support through out the electioneering period and the period of litigations which has cumulated in victory today.
While addressing the Press earlier today after the Court of Appeal judgment which struck out two applications filed by Joe Agi SAN of the All Progressives Congress(APC) and Steven Adi Odey which sort the court to review/upturn its 30th July, 2021 judgement which ordered INEC to withdraw Odey’s Certificate of Return and Issue Jarigbe a fresh one. The Lawmaker stated that, the victory was divinely orchestrated by God Almighty and it’s a reaffirmation of the People’s choice and wishes.
He also, hailed the judiciary and President Buhari for resisting pressure and letting the rule of law prevail.
In his words, “some people think by socketing to the centre, they can influence the judiciary to do their bidding against the Constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria”.
The Senator-elect, having received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), will be inaugurated into the 9th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as Senator Representing, Cross River North Senatorial District.
