Don’t Panic, Bogobiri Is Safe and Healthy For Everyone — Ayade’s Aide

The ongoing Rumours within the social media space over Covid-19 Suspects in Bogobiri Area of Cross River State, where Muslim Community members largely reside is “Fake News” and should be disregarded, as Bogobiri is free of any Suspected case of Coronavirus.

Special Adviser to the Governor On Muslim Affairs, Alhaji Tanimu Hassan in a statement issued Wednesday, said all investigations done by the team from the COVID-19 office with the Person as proved that those peddling the rumors only want to creat panic within the State Capital.

Bogobiri is located in the heart of Calabar and boundary between Calabar South and Municipality Local Government Area of Cross River State.5

Tanimu who just arrived Calabar after dealing with a similar case Concerning a resident who travelled from Kano to Obudu, said medical team from the ministry of health confirmed that Bogobiri is Safe.

His words; “I wish to put on record that the news trending on social media Concerning Suspected Covid-19 infection in Bogobiri Community is not true and be treated as Fake News.

“I came in from Ogoja where I went to address a similar situation in Obudu, Ogoja and Ikom. The truth of the matter is that the suspect came into Cross River State on Saturday and were intercepted by the Covid-19 team at Bogobiri,after series of test there is no symptoms of COVID-19.

“The question Everyone will ask is why must the Suspect come into the State when there’s a directives to lockout the border? .
However,the Chairman of Covid-19 and Hon. Commissioner For Health,after series of test advised that the person involved who came from Kano be quarantined and two others who live with him for Two weeks.

“I have led an advocacy campaign to other Hausa Fulani Settlement in Calabar especially at Bogobiri and Nasarawa and NNPC Area that on no account should they Carry anybody when bringing in food stuff and permissible goods into Cross River State”He said.
