Audition Hits Asaba As Actors Guild of Nigeria Endorsed Basement Search Reality TV Show

 

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) have endorsed the Reality TV Show, Basement Search.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has endorsed the Basement Search Reality TV Show, claiming that once completed, the project will produce new stars who will be able to take over from the industry’s big names when the time comes.

National President of AGN, Emeka Rollas, who was one of the judges at the Abuja audition, told Oasis Magazine (OM) exclusively that over 300 people attended the audition, which he described as “eventful.”

”We finished the Abuja audition about 12 a.m.,” he added. It was historic because it was the first time a reality TV show was filmed. They weren’t looking for musicians or singers, but for actors,” she says, claiming that this is a one-of-a-kind production.

According to him, the organizers are competent and committed to driving the project forward, and he urged the project’s brains to uphold high expectations.

”We are in it, and anybody doing anything to promote our business must be sponsored, which is why we are supporting this,” he said.

”A number of our participants attended the audition. “This project is a positive step forward,” Roland said.

Meanwhile, he urged AGN representatives and all stakeholders to support the project in whatever way they see fit.

Ali Nuhu, Sam Dede, and Real Warri Pikin are among the other judges at the Abuju audition.

On Tuesday, the Abuja audition took place at Grand Cubana in Abuja. The audition train is scheduled to visit a total of ten locations to select aspiring filmmakers, with contestants competing for the grand prize of a brand new car and prizes worth a total of 25 million naira.

According to the producers, it will be a reality show in which 30 housemates will be elected to live in the house for 42 days and movie makers will be on hand to help the housemates develop their filmmaking skills.

The winner will be determined by the votes of the viewers at home, who will be encouraged to vote for their favorite contestant.

The aim of the initiative, according to OM, is to produce a new generation of movie stars for the Nigerian film industry.

Meanwhile, the Asaba audition will take place on Saturday, May 24th, which will be the tenth and final venue for the exercise.

The location, according to OM, will be the Vienna Hotel in Asaba.
