As refuse litters Calabar Metropolis, Ben Ayade has dumped the state to pursue his presidential ambitions.
Things have become worse, with Cross River State’s fine name being dragged through the mud. The state was once regarded as Nigeria’s most attractive and cleanest, but media reports claim that it is now the dirtiest and most vulnerable to disease outbreaks and plagues. We believe that the state’s governance is failing.
Some residents in Calabar South and Municipality Local Government Areas say the capital may lose its status as Nigeria’s cleanest and greenest city, in the eye witness report by WeetalknaijaBlog. The residents also call on the state governor, Ben Ayade, to order the immediate evacuation of the refuse dumped in Calabar, the Cross River State capital
Ekpo Abasi junction, Atimbo by Edim Otop junction, and many others are among the streets affected.
