BREAKING!!! Boko Haram Destroyed UN Facilities, Assaulted UN Employees

Boko Haram is burning UN facilities and attacking workers in Borno, according to information reaching us.

In a new wave of attacks, Boko Haram fighters stormed Damasak town in Borno State on Saturday, torching UN facilities and forcing humanitarian workers to flee for their lives.

The terrorists set fire to the UN office and at least three other foreign charity organizations nearby, with the help of their deadlier Islamic State West African Province fighters.

“The terrorists arrived in gun trucks in the area. They began by going on a looting spree. Before setting fire to the UN center in town and three other buildings belonging to other aid organizations, they carted away aid supplies intended for internally displaced people, according to a source in the town.

A military source reported the terrorist assault on Damasak on Saturday, but said troops were fighting hard to prevent the town from being overrun.

“They intended to assault the military base first, but we were able to repel them. The UN facility was then visited by a small group of them. The Nigerian Air Force has been summoned, and they are currently conducting air interdictions against terrorists,” he said.
In the North-East, UN facilities are increasingly under pressure.

ISWAP jihadists overran a UN center in Dikwa on March 1, killing six civilians and forcing aid workers to flee the town amid immediate humanitarian needs.

The fighters attacked Damasak, the capital of Borno’s Mobbar Local Government Area, on March 15.

The UN has yet to respond to the latest attack on its facility in the country.
