BREAKING!! Gunmen On Rampage In Owerri-Port Harcourt Expressway, Killed Three Customs Officers, Three Air Force Officers, Two Policemen

 

No fewer than eight security men, made up of Air Force, Customs, and policemen personnel in Rivers state, were killed on Saturday night, April 24, 2021, in what appeared to be retaliation attacks on the IPOB’s security arm, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), whose Commander, Ikonso, and six others were killed on Saturday morning.

The men were killed at checkpoints along the Omagwa-Elele road in Imo State, which connects Port Harcourt and Owerri.
The three Customs officers were killed at a checkpoint in Isiokpo, the headquarters of the Isiokpo Local Government Area, according to security sources.
Their armored vehicles and rifles were taken.

Their armored vehicles and rifles were taken.
At the Joint Task Force checkpoint in Omagwa, Ikwerre LGA, three Air Force personnel and two police officers were also killed.

They were butchered and beheaded in some cases.
According to security reports, the gunmen set fire to the police and other vehicles at the checkpoint, as well as the security camp.
The gunmen allegedly tried to set fire to the Isiokpo Divisional Police Station, but were thwarted by the officers on duty.

The Rivers Police Command’s spokesman, SP Nnamdi Omoni, did not return a call from P.M.News.
A joint security team attacked the militant wing of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) headquarters on Saturday, killing seven people, including the chief, Ikonso Commander.

In the shootout, four security personnel, including an army Second Lieutenant, paid the ultimate price.
