BREAKING!!! Heavy Gunshots, Three Soldiers Killed, 171 Others Missing As Boko Haram Burnt Down Military Base In Yobe

 

Boko Haram burned down a military base in Yobe, killing three soldiers and leaving 171 others missing.

 

Before assaulting the military base, the attackers were assisted by local informants and sympathizers.

Insurgents from Boko Haram launched a major assault on the 27 Task Force Brigade’s special forces base in Ngomari, Buni Yadi, and Kumuya, Buni Gari, Yobe State, killing three soldiers and leaving 171 others missing in action.

 

“On Friday morning, terrorists targeted us. They invaded and burned down the military base. Three soldiers were killed, one was wounded, and 171 were reported missing. Although the base is abandoned, we have requested reinforcements, according to a military source.

“One Camel MRAP, one 105MMPH Artillery gun, one Conqueror, and one T72 tank were all destroyed in the fire. The terrorists have set fire to the camp, according to another source.

Before attacking the military base, the terrorists were assisted by local informants and sympathizers, according to SaharaReporters.

The terrorists used heavy guns to destroy military equipment and patrolled the city to prevent reinforcements from arriving.

As reinforcements from Nigerian troops arrived at the base, the insurgents retreated, according to reports.

Following the insurgent attacks, Nigerian troops have temporarily restricted movement along the Damaturu-Damboa-Biu Road.
