BREAKING!! Kidnapped 300 Kastina Schoolboys Regains Freedom
The over 300 schoolboys abducted by suspected bandits at Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State, have regained freedom.
According to a report by Arise News, one of the nation’s prominent television stations, said a government official confirmed the development.
The report claimed the students were already in custody of Nigerian security forces
It further reported that an official of the Katsina State Government said all the boys kidnapped by the bandits were rescued.
The schoolboys are said to be on their way to the Katsina capital where Governor Aminu Bello Masari would receive them.
The government official was reported to have also said Governor Masari is expected to grant a world press conference to announce the release of the pupils.
This is coming hours after Boko Haram posted a video where it claimed that all the abducted schoolboys were in their custody.
Governor Masari had on Wednesday night said government was working hard to ensure the release of the students through every means possible.
The students were kidnapped from their boarding school last Friday night when hundreds of bandits stormed the school.
All the students are said to be in good health condition and are to be reunited with their parents later today.
