… Say “Anywhere Obaseki goes,we go”
In what could be described as a potential political revolution in Akoko-Edo polity, leaders and ward executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government yesterday endorsed Governor Godwin Obaseki.
The leaders who gathered in compliance with NCDC guidelines at the Council’s Multipurpose Hall in Igarra expressed readiness to follow Governor Obaseki on any political sojourn.

The party leaders said Governor Obaseki has beamed a proven developmental light on the local government as such they wouldn’t go back to the era of darkness.
While Speaking, the Council Chairman, Hon. Don Umoru described Obaseki as a leader who has Akoko-Edo people at heart, hence his wide acceptance.

In his address, the immediate past Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.(Alhaji) Kabiru Adjoto assured those present of the governor’s continued interest in the development of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area.

“We are aware our brothers from the other divide are planning to unleash mayhem on Obaseki’s supporters in Akoko-Edo; I will advise them to shun the dastard agenda for the common peace of our people”, he said.
When Adjoto inquired of the leaders’ stance should the governor chose to run in another party, they all chorused: “Anywhere Obaseki goes,we go”
Edo State Commissioner for Energy and Electricity, Hon. Akin Agbaje who was present at the meeting said Obaseki’s scorecard in Akoko-Edo would make the people queue behind him in any election.
