: President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda Wins Sixth Term In Office

With 58.6 percent of the vote, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni secured a sixth term in office, the electoral commission reported on Saturday in an election contested by his main opponent, Bobi Wine, who trailed with 34.8 percent.

The Electoral Commission shall declare Yoweri Museveni… elected President of the Republic of Uganda,’ said Justice Simon Mugenyi Byabakama, president of the Electoral Commission.
