BREAKING!! Unrest In Northern Nigeria As Terrorists Break Into Another School
Terrorists targeted Kaduna State’s Government Science Secondary School in Ikara.
According to Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, armed men stormed the school in the early hours of Sunday, but their attempt to kidnap students was foiled by the military.
“The kidnapping attempt was thwarted. Fortunately, the students were able to use the security warning system to alert security forces. The Nigerian Army and Police, along with some security volunteers, moved quickly to the school to engage the bandits, and the military and police are currently chasing them,” he said.
The incident occurred two days after 39 students were kidnapped from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in Afaka, in the state’s Igabi local government area.
The gunmen were allegedly on their way to a high school, but when they discovered that security had been increased at their intended target, they stormed the building.
In the last 48 hours, security operatives in Kaduna have accomplished three big feats.
Soldiers in Kaduna had stopped gunmen from kidnapping students from a Turkish school.
An attempted kidnapping at the Kaduna headquarters of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) was also foiled.
