BREAKING!! Yahaya Bello Joins 2023 Presidential Race

Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi state, has finally announced his intention to run for president in 2023.

Yahaya Bello Presidential campaign posters have already flooded some major states across the country, according to Weetalknaija.com.ng.

Following the expiration of a seven-day ultimatum issued by a youth organization, Yahaya Bello announced that his desire to run for president in 2023 is based on calls from Nigerian youths, women, and the poor, among others.

In an interview with journalists in Abuja, the governor said that he would wait until the “official time” to enter the race.

“I don’t refer to this as a bid for the presidency. It is the desire of the youths, the younger generation, women, the less fortunate, the deprived, and the marginalized in society,” Yahaya Bello explained.

“These are the people who are calling me to come and serve, to run and contest for president in 2023, and I am waiting for an appropriate time to formally respond to that call so that I do not break the law.

“And, in fact, since I come from that constituency, a humble background, and I see firsthand the less-privileged, oppressed, and vulnerable, as well as the search for good governance in Nigeria, I don’t think I’ll refuse the request when the time comes. I’m not going to refuse it.”

The governor of Kogi insisted that the governing APC has no zoning scheme, warning that the party must unite and discard all that separates it.

“I believe the younger generation has the cure to repair the country because there is nothing like north or south, or whether I am a Muslim or Christian,” Bello said.

“We should reflect on what brings us together.
I’m more concerned about the unity of Nigerian youths and the younger generation in Nigeria today. I believe we should proceed with caution.

“There was no zone to the north in 2015; everyone ran, including Rochas Okorocha, who ran against Mr. President. Same goes for the People’s Democratic Party and other political parties.

“No one was willing to challenge Mr. President in 2019.” It wasn’t as if everyone was denied the chance, so the election in 2022 should be open to everyone, allowing the best to emerge, the best that Nigeria should be proud of tomorrow.”
