Buhari Celebrates Jonathan At 63

The president, Mohammadu Buhari, sent his heartwarming message to the former president of Nigeria as he clocks 63 today.

In a statement he sent through his spokesman, he felicitated with the ex-president and also regarded former president’s age as “a life of service that has brought honour and goodwill to Nigeria.”

The president also applauded the contribution the ex-president made even after his tenure. He emphasized that his great potentials are what keep him on the ladder of progress and political rank till today. He also made mentioned of his contribution to the growth and functionality of ECOWAS, especially his work towads bringing peace to the Republic of Mali.

Therefore, the president prayed to God to bless him with long life, sound health and wisdom and understanding to help him in driving the country to greater height.

Moreover, Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, likewise celebrated with the ex-president on Thursday as he approached his new age.

In his statement at Yenagoa by his Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Alabrah, he described the ex-president as a “Nigerian, African and global icon with exceptional democratic credentials that endeared him to many across the world.”

He furthered stressed the great achievement he initiated in Bayelsa state before moving to the whole country. Therefore, he prayed to God to grant him longlife and sound health.

“As a former governor of this state, he remains our pride. As a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, who left indelible imprints in our clime, he is a hero.

“It is our prayer that the Lord will continually bless our great Nigerian leader with sound health, greater grace and long life.”
