The leading aspirant in the forthcoming National Youth Council Of Nigerian (NYCN) elections, Cross River State Chapter, Comrade Daniel Obo has said that those fighting the governor of Cross River State, Sir Ben Ayade are not only fighting the governor, but the entire Cross River Northern Senatorial District.
Obo who made this known to newsmen in Calabar, the state capital during a consultation meeting, disclosed that Ayade being a passionate leader who have the youths at heart has broken unbeatable records by giving massive appointments to youths in the state.
Continuing, Dan Obo officially made known his intention to the group to contest for the position of NYCN state Chairman, Cross River State. Adding that, Cross River Youths In Politics, being a youth organization has the constitutional right to discuss elections matters as enshrined in the organisation’s constitution.
The meeting which has in attendance, some prominent youth leaders in the state, was chaired by Comrade Julius Obanghe kijuo, the State Chairman “Cross River Youths in Politics”.
The State Chairman, Cross River State Youth in Politics who also double as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Ben Ayade on Public Works, said it’s on record that Cross River youths in politics is one of the Youth active groups in the state that had partnered with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Cross River State for the peaceful conduct of the last general elections.
He Said ;
” I’m delighted to advice young people in Government to utilize any opportunity given to them, especially to all the current aides to the Governor of Cross River State.
“Today, Dan Obo is here to seek for our support. And to other aspirants who are willing to seek for our support and opinion, I wish to inform you all that Cross River youths in politics is a house for all. We are open to everyone, and for the rest of the aspirants who wishes to meet with us, we will continue to listen to all your manifesto, at the end, the best among all the aspirants shall be endorsed”.
