COVID-19: NNPC, Chevron, Others Donates Ventilators, ICU Beds, Thermometers To Cross River

In an attempt to assist Nigerian states in their efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, the Nigerian oil and gas industry has donated valuable products to the Cross River state COVID 19 response team, which will aid in the battle against the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic.

During the presentation of the products, Mr Bappah Babayo, a NNPC official, praised Sen Prof Ben Ayade’s government and his Health Commissioner, Dr Betta Edu, for their efforts in combating the Virus in the State, praising them as a great success story in Nigeria and Africa. The low number of positive cases reflects the constructive work done in the state since January of last year; CRS was the last state to report any positive case, indicating that the state has the right leadership. Honorable Commissioner Ma, I am very proud to say that CRS is one of those states that has demonstrated active involvement in this war as evidenced by the state’s proactive work in the health sector during the early stages of this pandemic.
