C’River Deputy Gov describes late Mrs Glory Ogban Ekpe as stabilizing factor to her family

The Deputy Governor, Professor Ivara Ejemot Esu has described late Mrs Glory Ogban Ekpe as a stabilizing factor to her family as a wife, mother, sister, and associates.

Professor Esu made the assertion in a Condolence message at the funeral Mass held in her honour at the Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church, Marian Hill,Calabar.

The Deputy Governor remarked that, the death of a dear wife and mother evokes a great sense of loss, especially one who had been an unwavering pillar of strength a dependable source of counsel and a great spiritual covering to the entire family.

He admonished the family to be consoled by the fact that, their Matriarch lived a worthy Christian life, who will be greatly missed by all.

Professor Esu urged the bereaved family to look beyond her demise, as he pray God to grant her soul eternal rest in His bosom.

In a Homily, the guest Minister, Rev. Father Malachi Ephraim said, the death of a human being puts an end to the suffering in life.

He described late Glory Ogban Ekpe as simple, lively sincere, devoted, and selfless in her relationship to God and mankind.

Reverend Father Ephraim explained that one’s death gives the living the opportunity to reflect on their lives with a view to repentance.

A Biography of the deceased shows that, late Mrs Glory Ogban Ekpe was born in 1962 in Creek Town,Odukpani Local Government Area,where she obtained her first School Leaving Certificate in 1974.

Until her death, she was the Executive Secretary, Biase Local Government Education Authority.

She is survived by her husband, Mr Ogban Unoh Ekpe, four children and a host of relatives.
