Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has stated that he will not hand over to any governorship candidate who is not from the
Cross River South Senatorial District.
He spoke to APC members in Calabar yesterday to dispel rumors that he had changed his mind about his previous position.
“I’m not going to change my mind.” It is my unwavering resolve to guarantee that the state’s Southern Senatorial District reclaims power in 2023. It’s just the right thing to do.
“In order to balance that, as governor, I still stand by my declaration that my successor will come from the south, and indeed, he will,” he stated.
