Cross River Governor donates computers, instructional materials to schools


Massive Recruitment at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC)

In a bid to ensure quality education in schools in Cross River state, Governor Ben Ayade has donated over a 100 pieces of computers and other educational accessories to public Secondary Schools across the state.

Making the donation on behalf of the governor, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Dr Godwin Amanke, said it is a demonstration of the governor’s commitment to boost quality learning in the state.

He added that the gesture is in line with Governor Ayade’s digital philosophy of making Cross River an educational hub in the country.

Equipment distributed by the commissioner include: 100 units of computers, 25 Magnetic boards, 44 magnetic board cleaners, and 8 Microscopes.

Others are 4 Printers, 8 Projector machines, 65 assorted instructional materials/charts, 90 units of UPS, 27 Vernier calipers, 5 packets of microscope slides, 18 triangular prisms.

Also included are: 18 retort stands, 5 electrical skeletal systems, 1000 Textbooks in English, Mathematics, Basic Science, Civic Education, Computer and Basic Technology; 20 cartons of 49 Leaves, 20 Cartons of 60 Leaves and 20 cartons of higher education notebooks were part of the items given to some public schools that benefitted from this round of donation.
