The Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal has again declared the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe as the Senator representing Cross River North senatorial district in the separate appeal filed by Stephen Odey and Joe Agi SAN, candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The court also awarded N1m each against the duo of Stephen Odey and Joe Agi SAN. Reading the judgment, the court held that “The applicants were not sincere with their application, they only came to contrive the judgment because the Appeal tribunal judgement wasn’t favourable to them. This court can not revisit its Judgment.

“This court has no jurisdiction to amend its judgement delivered on the 30th July, the court has been forbidden by the extant laws to amend its judgement.”
“As the court is Functus Officio on the said matter and cannot review its judgement.”

The President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Monica was the presiding judge.
