Ward Congresses: C/River PDP Patriots Commends Secondus For Transparency In Party Affairs
…The result reflect the exact outcome of the congresses

The Cross River State People’s Democratic Party Patriots (CRSPP), has commended the National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus and the National Working Committee for their transparency in party affairs in the just released results of the Ward and Chapter congresses for the state chapter.
In a Press Release issued on Thursday in Calabar and jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary, Mr Tony Edako and Mr Austin Edibe, the group said that the list reflected the exact outcome of the congresses.
The release stated that the outcome of the results have elicited mass celebration from various wards and chapters of the party across the state.
“We the members of CRSPP wish to congratulate the PDP National Chairman and members of the National Working Committee for living upto their word during their inauguration.
“The National Chairman, in his inauguration speech, promised to liberalized the internal political process of our great party and introduce transparency in all affairs.
“The just released results of the party’s ward and chapter congresses held on the 7th and 21st March, 2020 respectively, confirms the veracity of that promise”, the release stated.
According to the release, the people have grown in confidence regarding the democratic process and are elated, knowing that their votes truly do count.
They also commended the victorious ward and chapter executives members whose tenure commences on the 30th of April and 5th of May 2020 respectively.
The group admonished the victors to show magnanimity in victory and accommodate their compatriots who lost the election in other to build a formidable party.
“However, we wish to bring to the notice of the NWC, the machinations of a few of our fellow party men and women, who cannot let go of the old ways of doing business where impunity and oppression were the norm.
“We despise the public bragging by certain highly placed individuals and their surrogates about their intentions to invade Abuja inspire of the lockdown, to compromise the people’s will with tons of cash.
“They brag about their principal’s belief that whatever money can’t buy, more money certainly will. We plead that they let sleeping dogs lie.
“The PDP is a great party for which we are willing to give an arm and a leg for. It is the determination of all of us patriots to protect the euphoria reigning amongst our compatriots since the publication of the executive lists and we intend to keep it so”, the release said.
The group called on the National Chairman of the PDP and members of NWC to remain resolute in their resolve to entrench transparency and maintain internal democracy irrespective of attempts and intimidation.
They expressed assurance that PDP members in the state were solidly behind them on the matter.
