Dr.Nwachukwu Anakwenze Sponsor AASSNID Welfare Day

The Association of Anambra State Students in Nigeria and Diaspora (AASSNID) at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State held her annual Picnic and Welfare Day on Sunday, 9th of April 2021. The program which started at around 3pm was held at the Golden Jubilee Garden of the prestigious University.
Speaking at the event as Guests were the Staff Adviser of the student body, Engr. Simeon Ezekpo of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Prof. Shoniran of the Department of Chemistry. Encouraging the students about personality, Prof. Shoniran, who is an intimate friend of the association spoke at “Seven Steps of Self-Awareness”.
The President of the Association, Igwe Valentine urged all members of the association to always show interest and participate in the activities of the association. “We have just one state, Anambra, and we should always endeavor to show the spirit of brotherhood and together”, he admonished. He also used the medium to wish his fellow students success in their forthcoming examinations. Igwe did not fail to appreciate sponsors of the events; Anambra State Association World-wide under the chairmanship of Dr. Nwachukwu Anakwenze and the founder of MUJ App, Lady Ogoamaka Akigwe.
Among other agenda were distribution of palliatives (rice, spaghetti, milk, tomato paste, writing materials etc) to over 100 members of the association, games, sports, intellectual discourse.
Among other dignitaries who graced the occasion were the Coordinator of the Federation of Igbo State Students, Kalu Agada, Chairman of the Igbo Students President Forum in person Austin Abaga, President of the Abia State Students, David Gas, erstwhile President of Ijebu and Remo Students Association, Abiodun Adesanya and President of the National Association of Ogun State Students, Ajayi Oluwafemi.
The President thanked all participants of the events and the kind guestures of Hon. Chief Chudi Asidianya and AASSNID alumni.
