Cross River Lawmakers have requested for the setting up of an Independent Judicial Panel of Inquiry to investigate the destruction of both private and public properties during the hijacked EndSARS protests in order to fish out perpetrators and bring them to book.

These were part of the Resolutions taken at a recent sitting after Members extensively deliberated on a matter of urgent public interest sponsored by Rt Hon. “The future of Cross River State has been attacked, choice properties like the CICC, TINAPA, IDH, Pyschiatric Hospital and private properties of past and serving Senators and others have been vandalized” He lamented.

The Lawmakers further called on the Federal Government to provide immediate financial assistance to “assuage the huge losses suffered by the Government and people of the State”, while members of the public are urged to avail the proposed panel with “information that will lead to discovery, recovery and prosecution of the hoodlums”.Cross River Collaborates With CBN And Dantata Group To Provide 20,000 Agric Works

The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams called for total overhauling of the Security architecture of the State while explaining that the proposed independent Judicial Panel of inquiry will be made up of people with proven integrity.
