Enough Is Enough: Our Decision To Ban Open Grazing Is Final, You Are Free To Hang Yourself On Electric Pole – Wike Fires Back At Northern Leaders
Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has threatened to enforce the southern governors’ prohibition on open grazing, warning that anyone who disagrees with him should die if they so want.
On Saturday, Wike spoke at a grand gathering in Bori, Khana Local Government Area of the state, where he was presented with a chieftaincy title by the people of the Ogoni ethnic community.
Wike reminded people who objected to the Southern Governors’ ban on open grazing that he had taken additional efforts to implement what the governors agreed to at Asaba.
“Let anyone who want to die go ahead and hang himself from an electric pole. We (the Southern Governors) have made a decision that cannot be reversed. He declared, “Enough is enough.”
According to Wike, southerners are not second-class citizens of the United States because they own the country and must participate in its affairs.
The governor also promised to oppose any militarization of Rivers elections, stressing that no one should play God.
“No one should pretend to be God,” he declared. We’ll flog them once more. The militarization of elections is doomed to fail. Didn’t they bring the army with them before? Was it successful? We’ll flog them once more.”
Wike also urged Rivers residents to heed the state’s curfew, which he set in response to increased insecurity.
He claimed he had ordered security services to apprehend renowned figures who disobeyed the curfew and use them as role models.
Wike made it clear that he is searching for renowned people to serve as role models.
