Senator Bola Tinubu, an All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, has allegedly given assurance to the party members that the Supreme Court has been ‘sorted’ out to influence the gubernatorial election of Osun State in favour of the party’s candidate, Gboyega Oyetola.
A source in the state hinted NewsBreakNG this morning about the revelations Tinubu made during a meeting with some of the APC members in Osun State.
In the words of the source: “At a meeting where concerned APC leaders worried about the fate of their disputed and controversial victory at the Appeal Court met with Asiwaju in Abuja to beg him for continued help, He reminded them of our privileged and wealthy he is.
“Tinubu equally reminded them of the fact that there is no one richer than him in Nigerian Politics, reiterating his ealier statements that he is richer than Osun state, and even Buhari does not have access to the kind of money that he has”, the source added.
“As far as Nigerian politics is concerned, I can tell you that no one can stop me. I get whatever I want I get”, the APC leader said.
The source also said that, at a point, Tinubu asked them jokingly, “Why do you think I have relocated to Abuja for this period? Do you know how we got our Appeal Court victory? Do you know what I did?, please stop worrying your head. We are in charge”.
It was also learnt that Tinubu went further to assure the party that he knows how to deal with Adeleke who he said are mere political rats with limited resources compared to him.
According to him: “Who are they, how much do they have, who can they control in this country?.
“We are fighting them with all the powers that we have. We will crush them and that Adeleke name will soon be consigned to the abyss of political history”.
Speaking further, the source revealed that Tinubu exposed how he had sent out his emissaries to APC people at the Supreme Court.
“I have given them a blank cheque. Whatever it takes, whatever the costs I am ready, willing and able to pay.
“This is not about any facts of any case, any legality or matter of law, this is about power and we know how to use power”, He said assuredly.
However, according to the source, the meeting ended with apparent joy and gladness with the Osun APC stakeholders that met him.
Recall that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the September 2018 governorship election in Osun state, Senator Ademola Adeleke has approached the Supreme Court, seeking a reversal of the decision of the Court of Appeal that declared candidate of All Progressives Congress, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, as the winner of the poll.
Equally, Adeleke in his appeal, wants the apex court, to uphold his victory at the tribunal, which nullified Oyetola’s election.
