Former Cross River APC Senatorial Aspirant Dumps Party, Defects To Labour Party
Former Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Public Prosecution, Chief Okoi Obono Obla has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, for Labour Party.
Barr Obla lost the APC Senate Primaries to the Speaker of Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Eteng Jones Williams.
Obono-Obla, while announcing his new party, said:
“Political platform is only a vehicle for the realization of one’s political aspiration and interest.
“It is my own people’s interests that I will represent them in the Senate. I will do my utmost to ensure that my people‘s politcal interest is not rendered unnoticed by some Potentate who decide who is at where.”
Chief Obla has now emerged the candidate of Labour Party to represent Cross River Central Senatorial District.
He expressed the hope that on the platform of the Labour Party, he would certainly perform very well.
