The Greater Calabar Capital City Development Authority (GCCCDA), is desirous of entering into partnership with the Akamkpa Local Government Area, with a view of decongesting the state Capital, Calabar.

Chairman of GCCCDA, Bassey Effiom, made this known on Thursday, during a working relationship with his team to the LGA.

Effiom said, extending development to “hard-to-reach” areas in the state, is one of the key mandates of the Sir Ben Ayade-led administration in Cross River State. This has made it imperative for the agency to explore possible ways of ensuring a sustainable, working and friendly atmosphere for residents of the state.

According to Mr Bassey Effiom, the state is blessed to have Ayade as the Governor, adding that, the Governor has done extremely good with his deep vision, particularly, the vision of extending development to rural communities in the Southern senatorial district.
