HAPPENING NOW!! Imo State Under Attack As Unknown Gunmen Burn Down Another Police Station, High Court

Gunmen in Imo State’s Njaba Local Government Area went mad on Saturday, razing the Atta Divisional Police Headquarters.

The thugs burned the Atta Magistrate and High Courts, as well as the community’s health center, according to PUNCH.

The development had sparked widespread fear in the community, with local teenagers threatening to lynch The PUNCH journalist who visited the location on Saturday morning.

His electronics were resized, broken, and he was robbed of money.

WeetalknaijaBlog learned through PUNCH that the structure was demolished between 1 and 2 a.m.

According to neighborhood sources, the attackers shot continuously for about an hour before torching the hamlet’s government facilities.

The incident took place after the inhabitants had gone to bed, according to the community’s crown prince, Remigiius Azike.

John Agbaso, a former president-general of the community, claimed the community was in misery.

He said that the residence of the community’s president-general, Chijioke Duruonyeokwu, was set ablaze by unknown individuals only a week ago, killing his wife.

The community leader pleaded with the authorities to help them, claiming that insecurity was on the rise in the area.

“I was the one who erected the police station and magistrate court, and mobilized youths under the auspices of Atta Nwambieri’s Transformations Ambassadors to build the high court,” he claimed. This was done to ensure that our citizens had access to government facilities. This new incident occurs just a week after they demolished our president general’s house and killed his wife. The government should step in to help us.”

Bala Elkana, the state’s police spokesperson, claimed he had not been briefed when reached.
