HOT!! IPOB Transporting Bombs and Explosive Devices From Lagos To Imo State — DSS
The Indigenous People of Biafra’s Eastern Security Network, according to the Department of State Services, has obtained bombs and explosives with which they plan to destabilize Imo State.
According to the secret police, the explosives were being transported in articulated trucks from Lagos to a hideout in Orlu, Imo State.
In a letter to the Brigade Commander, 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze, Owerri, Imo State, the DSS reported this.
I. Abdullah signed the DSS letter with reference number S.238/5/1538 dated April 26, 2021 on behalf of the Imo State DSS Director.
‘Movement of explosive devices into the state by IPOB/ESN,’ it read.
“Intelligence revealed that the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra/Eastern Security Network has obtained bombs and IEDs to further their subversive activities,” the letter said.
“The newly acquired products are currently being transported from Lagos to an unconfirmed location in Orlu Local Government Area, according to reliable sources.
“The products are hidden in articulated/heavy-duty vehicles to avoid roadside security checks. The group also intends to use the explosives in their planned attacks on security and government facilities across the state, according to the study.
As a result, the DSS instructed the Brigade commander to have deployed security personnel conduct a comprehensive search of all trucks entering the state.
IPOB is being falsely accused by the DSS, according to a spokesman.
In response, the banned IPOB denied that it was smuggling arms and other weapons into Imo in order to destabilize the state.
It emphasized that the “allegation coming from the Zoo agent” known as the Department of States Security contained no facts, and that anyone or any organization was free to say whatever they wanted about IPOB.
Emma Strong, the group’s Director of Media and Publicity, said as much in an interview with our correspondent on Wednesday.
What the DSS is claiming is a complete fabrication. What that Federal Government-sponsored Zoo and Caliphate agent is claiming is completely false. Have you heard my interview with Channels Televisions from two days ago?
“It’s the same question that the Channels Television guy posed. ‘Who is sponsoring IPOB?’ he inquired. I informed him that IPOB was not supported by a single individual. The IPOB is a massive trend.
The claim is completely false. To and from where are the guns being moved? “I don’t think it’s smart to keep responding to whatever the Zoo people accuse us of,” Powerful said.
Airport security has been tightened by the FG.
In a related move, the Ministry of Interior has ordered Dr Ahmed Audi, the Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, to work with airport authorities to beef up security at the country’s airports.
The order came after the Ministry of Aviation issued a security warning about impending security threats to airports.
This was stated in a letter dated April 15 to the Commandant-General, which was signed on behalf of the minister by P. Egbodo, Director, Joint Services.
On Wednesday, when asked about the measures taken to protect the airports, NSCDC spokesman Olusola Odumosu vowed to find out. However, as of the time of filing this article, he had yet to reply.
