Comrade Eyam Abeng was sworn in as Acting Chairman of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), Lagos Region, by the National President of the Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) Alumni Association.

PENGASSAN’s ZONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF LAGOS (ZECOM) made this known through a release signed by the outgoing Zone Chairman, Comr. After the ZECOM emergency conference, which took place practically due to COVID-19 limitations, Simon Onovae.

With this promotion to Lagos Zone Acting Chairman, Comr. Eyam is now a member of the PENGASSAN World Wide Central Working Committee, a member of the National Executive Council (NEC), and a member of the NNPC PENGASSAN Executive Committee Group.

The release clarified that this development is in accordance with the PENGASSAN constitution following the former Chairman’s promotion to a Managerial Cadre at his primary place of assignment (NNPC), which is considered beyond the scope of membership in the Association.
