Kidnappings: Cross River Traditional Rulers Goes Spiritual, Vow To Fish Out Perpetrators
As kidnappings and armed robbery continue in Calabar, the state capital, Cross River State Traditional Rulers Council has vowed to invoke native and Traditional Sanctions to serve as deterrence against the perprators of Kidnappings, Armed Robbery and other criminalities and vices in the state.
In a press release signed and made available to WeetalknaijaBlog, the Traditional Rulers, said this is consequent upon the continuous violation of public peace in the aftermath of the #ENDSARS Protest and other challenges in the state.
The press release reads in part:
“This effort shall take the council to all the 18 Local Government Councils of the State.
“Cross Riverians, visitors and the General Public are advised to go about their normal daily businesses without fear.
“We don’t have any other state but Cross River State, so we must work together to enthrone and sustain an enduring peace in our state.
