Kogi Guber : Don’t Commit Suicide Again, Be Patient Wada Is Coming —PDP Tell Workers

PDP candidate for Kogi state,Engineer Musa Wada will end the persistent non salary payement to workers in the state and pensioners,saying the era of suicide by Kogi workers is over

Director of Public Communication,Wada/Aro for Kogi ,Comrade Austin Usman Okai stated this in lokoja, at the backdrop of mass reception and solidarity extended to the team in lokoja the state capital

Okai regretted the plight of Kogi workers and pensioners under Yahaya Bello’s adminstration, under the guise of endless screening and verification exercise

He said the new administration of Wada/Aro in November will guarantee prompt payment of workers in the state, as well as other entitlements

Austin Okai expressed shock that Directors,Deputy Directors,and even Permanent Secretaries came to their various offices in Kogi ,on okada for lack of payement of salaries and monthly imprest

The Director of Public communication urged workers to summon courage not minding the threat of job losses and threat to life,to come out enmasse by November to vote for Engineer Musa Wada of PDP

Okai said Kogi State Civil Service has been bastardized by the current administration, When Permanent Secretary retired, instead of given room to the subordinate to ascend, all the retired ones were given DG of their various ministry,

He said The Director of Accounts are not left out, instead of retiring after 35 years of service, the government is offering them Special Assistant on finance of their various MDAS, for how long are we going to continue like this? This is a complete plans to contract and casualise the civil service in kogi state

While in service,according to Okai,the Permanent Secretaries who ordinarily were suppose to be the engine room of the civil service, were rendered redundant and work less,this negates the entire civil service rules

He said the current trend is a means to casualise workers at all levels and preclude on the job growth in the civil service in the state,rendering them useless in career development

With the new adminstration of Wada/Aro in November ,the ugly trend will natural give way to rapid and unhindered career development in the civil service

‘It is very sad seeing the state workers can’t afford to pay hospital bills,domestic bills and basic necessities of life, leading to surreptitious deaths and suicidal activities,this trend must stop .Okai hued
