Encomiums were on Wednesday poured on the former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Deputy National Chairman of Social Democratic Party (SDP) South, Dr Olu Agunloye over the celebration of his 72th birthday.
The Lagos state SDP chairman, Hon. Femi Olaniyi (Ferrari) in his felicitation message in Lagos to mark the birthday of Agunloye, prayed God to grant the celebrant long life and good health.
The statement, which was personally signed by the Lagos SDP Chairman, said: “On behalf of the government and people of Lagos State, I congratulate a leader of our party, the Social Democratic Party, Dr Olu Agunloye on this birthday anniversary.
“We acknowledge his various roles in the ascendancy of the SDP in Nigeria and Lagos State and his continuous contributions to national development.
“We pray to Almighty God to grant him more rewarding years in the service of our of his state and Nigeria as a whole.”
Also, the Lagos SDP has lauded the former minister for his steadfast and commitment towards the political development of Lagos state and the country in general.
The party, in a statement by its state chairman, Hon. Femi Olaniyi (Ferrari), described Olu Agunloye as a foremost nationalist, political galvaniser and dogged politician and strategist who would stop at nothing to achieve the collective goal for the benefit of mankind and the glorification of God.
“As he celebrates another birthday, I, personally, and on behalf of the Executive Committee of Lagos SDP congratulate the former Minister and wish him abundance of God’s continued blessing in good health of body and mind,” the statement said.
