Following the lockdown in Lagos State over the rampaging coronavirus pandemic, the Lawmaker representing Ibeju/Lekki Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Prince Adebayo Balogun, Wednesday distributed palliative materials to people of his constituency to cushion the effects of the lockdown on them.
In a press released issued by the lawmaker and made available to www.weetalknaija.com.ng on Thursday morning gathered that, Hon. Prince Adebayo Olusegun Balogun distributed the Palliative to the 11 council wards in his constituency.
“As part of our effort to distribute emergency relief materials to the good people of ibeju lekki during this coronavirus pandemic emergency lockdown, Hon. Prince Bayo Balogun, Member House of Representatives,and Vice Chairman House Committee on Health at the Economic Community Of West Africa State Parliament(ECOWAS), in his usual style of his leadership distributed stimulus packages to his constituents”.
“This is coming after the lockdown directive by H.E President Buhari (GCFR). And Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State as a move to stop the spreading of this deadly virus throughout the world”.
Speaking further, Bayo pleaded with the people that are distributing the materials to make sure it cut across the whole constituency no matter the tribe, religious and political affiliation. He also exceptionally appreciative of the humanitarian sacrifices and contributions of health workers in the country and most especially Lagos health service commission.
Continuing, the lawmaker declared that, clear instructions were given with the respect of equitable distribution of the packages and to also make sure that most vulnerable should be considered.
Hon. Prince Bayo Balogun urged the people of ibeju lekki to continue to obey and observe social distancing by the Federal and State government in order to ensure the coronavirus pandemic is defeated in our country and Lagos State at large.
