Incumbent member of the Delta State House Of Assembly representing Ughelli North Constituency 1 and the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party for House Of Representatives For Udu, Ughelli North and South, Hon Samuel Mariere has referred to as on supporters to not interact in reprisal assaults over the current assaults on his supporters in Orogun-the hometown of the Delta Central Senator, Ovie Omoagege.
Berating the assault which led to the hospitalization of two of his supporters whom sustained gunshot accidents, the lawmaker referred to as on Senator Agege and his supporters to interact in strong democratic tradition which abhors political violence.
“My Dearly Beloved People, it’s with a pained coronary heart that I send this message. Our supporters had been just lately attacked in Orogun by Omo-Agege’s employed boys. As i write, two of our people have been injured by gun photographs. This shouldn’t be how politics must be performed. We are all Urhobos and we’re brothers. Brothers shouldn’t struggle.
