Massive Jubilation In Lagos As Tinubu Endorses Sanwo-Olu For Second Term
The National Leader of All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu, has endorsed Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for a second term in office.
Gboyega Akosile, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Lagos State Governor, disclosed this in a tweet on his official Twitter page on Friday.
“Asiwaju @officialABAT officially endorsed Governor @jidesanwoolu and deputy @drobafemihamzat for second term,” Gboyega Akosila, who is Sanwo-Olu’s chief press secretary tweeted on Friday along with a video of the APC National Leader raising the hands of the governor and his deputy.
In another tweet, Akosile quoted Sanwo-Olu to have said that the APC National Chairman purchased the second term governorship nomination form of the All Progressives Congress for Sanwo-Olu.

Sanwo-Olu’s endorsement followed speculations that he may be denied a second term in office owing to certain circumstances that saw him emerge as Lagos state governor in 2019.

The speculation reached a frightening height last week after the campaign organisation of Akinwunmi Ambode, who’s Sanwo-Olu’s predecessor, announced that the former governor may join the State’s gubernatorial race.
