Mike Etaba said the gesture was in line with the mandate to ensure that flood victims in his constituency were given the necessary support to alleviate their plights.

Etaba assured that he would continue to support his constituents and to provide for them some of the needed basic amenities in the area.

He said, “You know the primary responsibility of any government is on security and the welfare of the people. Of course, I have been doing this and will continue to expand our reach to other victims. Recently, rainstorms affected some of the communities in Etung local government council and Hon. Mike Etaba immediately intervened, promising to send more relief materials to victims.

According to him, “the distribution process will be transparent as I have already constituted an audit committee, attached to the relief materials include a sum of N100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) for offloading of the items, adding that, he will ensure that only persons affected by the flood disaster benefit from the distribution”.
