Muslim-Muslim Ticket: Tinubu’s Disqualification Process Has Begun, Says Shettima

Kashim Shettima said the process to disqualified Bola Tinubu has begun, can authoritavely report.

The People Democratic Party (PDP) has asked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to stop All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu from replacing Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate.

Various groups and individuals have chastised the APC and its standard-bearer over the Muslim-Muslim ticket, gathered (first with Kabiru Masari, and the Shettima).

The PDP, Nigeria’s main opposition party, has now petitioned the court to declare Tinubu ineligible unless he runs alongside his previous running mate, Masari, in the 2023 election.

In addition, the PDP claimed that the term “placeholder” does not exist in Nigerian law.

Tinubu’s legal team responded that they are aware of the situation but have not yet been served with a court summons.

Shettima said:
