I am deeply moved by the expression of confidence from all 24 wards of our constituency and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I also thank our great party, The indefatigable People’s Democratic Party, for its continuous good leadership to Ogoja/Yala and wish us more successes in the coming elections.

Being an effective legislator involves listening to constituents, translating their concerns into workable proposals, and building consensus to implement them which, I wouldn’t do without the involvement and openness of the people I would represent. You have taken the time to share with me your ideas, your concerns, and your aspirations, and I sincerely appreciate your willingness to discuss what really matters to you. Not only have you entrusted me with the responsibility of speaking on your behalf as your representative, but you will also provide me with the ideas and feedback I need to do it as it should be done.

I am proud of the race our campaign has run – this is only the beginning, standing-up for our future is never easy but we need to rise to the occasion for the future of our constituency. A favourite quote of mine by President Ronald Reagan says it best, “The future doesn’t belong to the light-hearted, it belongs to the brave”.

It is not over until it is over; keep fate.

Again, I would like to congratulate us all as we look forward to a better Ogoja/Yala in the coming days when I am issued the certificate of return to give you an effective representation, only then shall you touch a bar of gold on earth and in our Constituency.

Remain blessed.
