Family Of Critically ill Cross River Doctor In UK Hospital Appreciate Ayade’s Support

Parents of 25 years old medical doctor who is currently receiving treatment in United Kingdom, Mr & Mrs Inginzi Ugbe has come out to appreciate the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prof Ben Ayade over his timely support  to her son, Beshikwashi Peter Ugbe who did his undergraduate education in the University of Calabar and a resident doctor who worked in the northern part of Nigeria supporting indigent patients.

According to Mrs Ugbe, Peter was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (nodal T-cell variant) on the 28th of August 2020 and have since being managed at a hospital in the UK which needs about 22 million naira for the cancer treatment in a UK hospital. This was stated in the medical report sent from UK to the Governor through the Honorable Commissioner for Health Dr Betta Edu.

She thanked His Excellency Senator Prof Ben Ayade for responding to their distress call and quickly making available a huge sum of money as his support for young Beshikwashi Peter through the Health Chief Dr Betta Edu.

“The costs associated with the different treatment options are very high. We are calling and pleading with everyone who has come across this message to lend a supporting hand and save young Peter from dying.

She noted that even with His Excellency support more was needed to meet up the benchmarked . “Honestly the Governor has done a lot even beyond our expectations, and Our entire family is very grateful to him and his wife, Dr Linda Ayade especially in a time were the State is counting losses due to vandalism of major projects and Infrastructures across the State by hoodlums; She said.

Mrs Ugbe used the opportunity to eulogized family and friends who have been very supportive to the son treatment and care while conveying her appreciation message to the Cross River State Commissioner for Health, Dr Betta Edu.

Non Hodgkins lymphoma is a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system, greatly decreasing body’s ability to fight infection, amongst other things.

I have a 65% survival chance. Please help me in any little way you can to beat this terrible illness says Beshikwashi Peter.
