The opposition party, People’s Democratic Party, conceived the visit of the APC governors to the ex-president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, as a tendered apology for the misgovernment of Buhari and his administration.

They claimed that the governors’ visit has proven to the people that the governance of PDP was none like others during their administration and overuled by the opposition then out of jealousy and hatred.

They also added that APC had to subscribe to different weapons to fight against their administration because they were desperate to end the goodwill that had been started by their party.

The National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, said in a statement that, “the APC, in 2015, only created artificial symbols of misgovernance, corruption, and other alleged misgivings just to discredit our party and grab the levers of power to achieve its members’ selfish desires”.

Moreover, they saw the visit as an understanding of what Jonathan administration was trying to achieve before they hijacked the power. They also defined their administation as the one that understands the people’s plights and on the verge of filing the plights out among these people.

Also, they connected the visit to a confirmation that APC gave kudos to the efforts of their administration for transiting the economy of the country to a great wealth that the present administration is mismanaging today.

“This visit to Jonathan by the APC governors is a direct acceptance of the successes recorded by our party in building a strong nation with a virile economy that was rated as one of the fastest-growing economies of the world.

“The visit is, therefore, a subtle step by APC governors into the corridors of the PDP in agreement that our party holds the solution to the myriads of problems brought to our nation by their APC and President Buhari.”
