Police Arrests Popular Calabar Pastor With Human Skull

It also detained 25 other suspects for a variety of crimes committed throughout the state.
Mr Sikiru Akande, the state Commissioner of Police, told reporters on Tuesday in Calabar that the pastor was arrested following a danger to life allegation from a concerned citizen.
The culprit was apprehended at No. 56 Uwanse along Asuquo Ekpo Street in Calabar South, according to Akande.
“One human skull was tied to the complainant’s picture, and a carved human image with red garments was found on the suspect.
He stated, “The investigation is still ongoing, and the suspect will be arraigned in court.”
Christian Edem-Eyo, 34, was also paraded by the CP for allegedly killing and beheading Uduak Okpo, 65, and burying her head and body separately on June 6.
The culprit would be charged in court soon, according to the Commissioner.
Bassey, on the other hand, told the Nigerian News Agency (NAN) that he was not involved in any nefarious activities.
Before his arrest, he claims to have been performing healing services for his church members.
“I have no idea what this human skull is made of. He insisted, “I am innocent of the crimes leveled against me.”
Edem-Eyo, the murder suspect, told NAN that he killed Okpo because she was from the spiritual realm.
“I assassinated Uduak Okpo because she was a member of the sea world. In the compound, she was spiritually terrorizing me,” he added.
According to the CP, the Command’s “Operation Restore Quiet” in the state had resulted in the arrest of offenders who were violating the public’s peace.
He said the command was working with traditional rulers, youth groups, stakeholders, and residents of the locality to restore peace and order in the state.
