Police Inspector Commits Suicide After Collecting Loan To Roof His House

 

Ochofie Ijimbile, a police inspector assigned to Mopol 55 Aba, committed suicide while working as a hotel guard in the Aba metropolis, Weetalknaija (WTN) reports.

According to a source, the ugly incident occurred when he was on duty in the hotel, and his superior granted him permission to shower.

“When his second returned, he learned Ochofie had killed himself with his AK47,” the source said.

Inspector Ochofie, according to reports, is from the Apa local government area of Benue State and has been a member of the Nigerian police force for about 16 years.

According to the investigation, the inspector took out a loan from a one-generation bank to roof his house in the village, but was unable to repay it.

He leaves behind a wife, children, and elderly parents.

Calls and texts to PPRO, Geoffrey Ogbonna were not answered or returned as of the time of filing this paper.
