An Air Force Officer, Val Monfort Sixtus, was, on Boxing Day, shot lifeless by a policeman in Calabar, Cross River State.

The incident occurred spherical 10am at Unity Bank ATM stand alongside Marian Road, Calabar.

Confirming the knowledge, on Thursday, the Cross River State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Ugbo, talked about: “Yes, we’re aware of the incident.

The Police Officer that was posted to the monetary establishment as degree of obligation, was sitting down when impulsively he heard some noise from the ATM Machine stand. .

So, his obligation as a Police Officer was to go there and uncover out what was really happening. When he acquired there, he was attempting to intrude and he was like what’s going on proper right here? .

All of a sudden, the complete crowd attacked him, so, he launched a bullet which went straight to an Air Force Officer. Although, he didn’t know, on account of they weren’t on uniform. .

They actually attacked him, they slapped the Policeman first sooner than he launched the bullet.

Investigation is on and if we uncover that basically he was at fault, actually we’re going to go away no stone unturned in self-discipline.”
